Darwen Live 2009
Continuing on from an already established working relationship, HPSS were pleased to supply Stage, Sound and Lighting for the 3rd year running at the ever popular two day music festival in Darwen, Lancashire. The event is run by Darwen Borough Council and this year played host to artists such as the original boom town rats and The Bay City Rollers.
HPSS Stage Hire supplied our 12m x 6m Dome stage (shown with overhang for additional weather protection) for the festival utilising water ballast as the site is located on hard standing in front of Darwen town hall. HPSS hire also supplied 15m of crush barrier in front of the stage.
HPSS Stage Hire also supplied a 12ft x 8ft raised viewing platform and ramp for the event.
HPSS PA Hire supplied our ever popular dV-DOSC system, groundstacked on risers for this years event. On stage was a full compliment of L Acoustics HiQ monitors with Yamaha M7CL’s being used at both ends of the multicore to drive FOH and monitors.
Lighting supplied comprised 24 PAR’s and four 575W moving head spots.
Throughout the event, HPSS also provided a stereo feed to the local radio station who were broadcasting live from the event in an adjoining building.
To ensure the tight turnarounds on stage were as straightforward as possible, HPSS co-ordinated the supply of a shared backline set for the two day event comprising a Yamaha Drum Kit, Ampeg SVT Bass Amplifier, Marshall and Fender Guitar amplifiers.
