Epsom Derby 2006
For the fourth year in a row Lizz Hobbs Events and Epsom Racecourse, asked HPSS to meet the sound and lighting requirements for the Oaks Day and Derby Day at Epsom Racecourse.
On the the 12m Orbit stage HPSS supplied two flown trusses with par 64,s and Robe 575 scans with a Cirro cracker giving LD Keith Harper a fighting chance against the blazing sunshine. Sound was exclusively L-Acoustics with a total of 48 cabinets in use, ARCS 218’s filing front of house and side fill rolls, and HIQ,s the monitor system, finished of with two 118’s for drum fill subs. Danny Trowhill handled FOH duties on a Midas Heritage whilst Simon Lutkin kept the artists happy onstage driving the monitor system from Midas Sienna. Hugh Jones and Mark (Gordy) Peterson handled systems and patch and rolling risers.
