Jamelia at Cleethorpes Boating Lake
HPSS once again supplied full production for NE Lincs Council’s live events this year, three of which are held at the Boating Lake Paddock in Cleethorpes. The sounds of the summer concert this year featured Jamelia and the UK Beach Boys.
For the FOH system HPSS provided a L Acoustics ARCS system using a total of 20x ARCS alongside 10x SB218’s for the low end. HPSS recently purchased two 1T CM Lodestar motors to cope with the ever greater demand for flown systems. 8 Arcs were flown per side with the remaining four being used for in-fill duties on the ground. For Jamelia HPSS provided our 40ch Heritage 1000 along with one of our recently purchased Yamaha M7-CL’s for the UK Beach Boys. Alongside the Heritage 1000 was our main FX rack comprising 6x channels of Drawmer gates, 10x channels of dbx compression, Lexicon PCM, TC Electronic M2000, Yamaha SPX990 and Roland SDE3000.
On stage HPSS provided 10 L Acoustic 115 HiQ monitors along with 4 ARC’s and 2 SB218’s for sidefills. As requested by Jamlia’s monitor engineer our 2nd Yamaha M7-CL was used for monitors supplemented by a MY8-ADDA96 card. To ensure things ran smoothly on the day Nick Maddren (Jamelia’s monitor engineer) sent through the patch for the M7-CL prior to the event which allowed the monitor system to be tested and fully patched for when they arrived.
During the event the show ran smoothly with fans enjoying Jamlia’s set. The evening ended with a spectacular fireworks display.
