PA Hire for Love Music Hate Racism at Hull City Hall
Following on from successful past involvement with Love Music Hate Racism events locally (Hull City Hall ’07 & Freedom Fest ’08), HPSS were again asked to provide a PA system at Hull City Hall for their December Event.
Based on previous experience of the venue HPSS supplied a L Acoustics dV-DOSC system comprising 16 dV-DOSC, 6 dV-SUB’s and 12 SB218’s on FOH all powered by L Acoustics LA8 Amplifier System Controllers. At the request of visiting engineers a Midas H1000 was supplied at FOH.
On Monitors again it was an all L Acoustics line up with 12 115XT HiQ’s, 2 SB118’s and ARCs with 218’s on Sidefill duty. A Yamaha M7CL along with external Klark Technic graphics was used on monitors.
Hugh Jones ran FOH for the day with Dave Cartwright on Monitors and Iain Firth on Systems. With 14 acts performing over the course of the day it was essential that the event ran to time and as usual HPSS delivered without any problems. Some of the artists who appeared throughout the day were The Beat, Neville Staples and The Talks.
