A bigger team at HPSS.

With a busy year ahead HPSS have expanded the team as we continue to develop our new base on West Dock Street. The expanded team will ensure we continue providing a high level of service to new and existing clients.

Jack joined us as a permenant team member last year having graduated with a first class honours degree in Music Technology and Audio and is responsible for the day to day running of our Warehouse including preparing equipment and maintenance, with a keen interest in audio electronics. His experience spans live systems setup from L-Acoustics and d&b as well studio work including 5.1 mixing.

Bart joins us in operations and is responsible for logistics and execution of most shows. He's passionate about sound and lighting and has nearly 2 decades of experience. In addition to his live experience Bart has extensive experience in post production editing of video and audio using Apple Motion, FCPX and DaVinci Resolve.  Bart’s dedication and and strong work ethic makes him stand out from the crowd.

Dave joins the team as a Project Assistant, having been involved in sound since his school days and with 10 years experience working for an indie label and studio he brings experience of live recording and putting together the technical aspect of events. He also brings live video expertise with HD video content creation and editing skills having created live and music videos as well as directing live events for IMAG and live streaming. 

These new additions to the team mean we can keep on delivering the quality of service HPSS is known for as well as expanding our offering with more video AV and post production services.

HPSS add more Robe and Martin fixtures to hire stock.

Over the past 4 months, HPSS has invested even more in lighting hire stock. We decided to add a quantity of Robe Pointes and Martin Rush MH2's. 

Robe Pointe

Robe Points are amazingly versatile. The unit boasts Beam, Spot and Wash functions all in one fixture

Martin Rush MH2

Martin Rush MH2's is a LED Beam/Wash light. They have 7x 10w RGBW Cree MC-E Leds giving an amazing light output. 


Zappa Plays Zappa Tour Sound

HPSS supplied an L Acoustics ARCS system to various venues around the UK in July for a the stunning Zappa Plays Zappa show. A Soundcraft Vi6 with optical multicore was on front of house with, onstage in ear monitors being fed from a Heritage 3000. Hugh Jones and Chris Bunyon went as system techs whilst Dweelze brought his own FOH and Monitor engineers, Glyn Wood and David Tobias respectively. HPSS provided a dV-DOSC PA system in various flown and ground stacked formats for various venues up and down the UK. John Munnis Paul’s Manager, Tour Manager and FOH engineer chose HPSS because of our ability to supply the L Acoustics dV-DOSC system a two truss lighting system and arrange all crew, equipment and crew transport.pa system Manchester

Whilst John Munnis mixed FOH and Keith (Cookie) Cookman Monitors for Paul ,HPSS system engineer Dave Cartwright mixed Sarah Siskind who supported and provided backing vocals for Paul. Terry Mulcahy designed programed and operated the Lighting which was system tech-ed by Keith (Maz) Harper and rigged by Damian Courage. Hugh Jones system tech-ed monitors. Richard Story drove the artic for Domino Events trucking.
